Many searches now end with an AI-written answer instead of a click on a website. Digital Wasfa helps Saudi businesses become a source those answers can find, trust and cite, in Arabic and English.
AI search optimisation, also called AEO (answer engine optimisation) or GEO (generative engine optimisation), is the work of making your website and brand easy for AI systems to find, understand and quote.
It sits on top of ordinary SEO. Your pages must be crawlable and indexed, your answers clear and accurate, your business details identical wherever they appear, and trusted sites should mention you.
Google's documentation says there are no extra requirements for AI Overviews or AI Mode beyond being indexed and eligible to show a snippet (Google Search Central, updated December 2025). That is why most of our work is foundations, not tricks.
Both draw on pages in Google's index. AI Mode has been available in Modern Standard Arabic since October 2025, so Arabic questions get AI answers too. We check that your key pages are indexed, snippet-eligible and clearly written.
OpenAI uses a crawler called OAI-SearchBot to surface sites in ChatGPT search. If it is blocked, your site will not appear in those answers. We check robots.txt, CDN and firewall rules.
Each has its own way of choosing sources. We do not assume they behave alike. We ask the same questions in each and record which sites they cite.
Bing Webmaster Tools matters because several assistants use Bing's index. We set it up next to Search Console and submit your sitemap to both.
We check that the crawlers you want, including Googlebot, Bingbot, OAI-SearchBot and PerplexityBot, can reach your pages. We also explain the difference between controls that matter for search and controls that only affect model training. GPTBot and Google-Extended are in the second group, and Google-Extended does not affect Google Search rankings.
Under every question heading, a direct answer in the first one or two sentences, then the detail. We rework your service, pricing and comparison pages this way first, because those are the pages that bring in enquiries.
Business name, services, address and phone number should read the same on your site, Google Business Profile, LinkedIn and directories. Conflicts make it harder for a system to be confident about who you are.
Organisation or LocalBusiness, Service, Article, BreadcrumbList and author markup, validated with Google's Rich Results Test and the Schema Markup Validator. It helps machines read the page. It does not guarantee any feature.
People in Saudi Arabia ask in both languages, and Gulf phrasing often differs from formal Arabic. We write and test for both, using the local terms your customers use, such as Salla, Zid, Mada and ZATCA e-invoicing where they apply to your industry.
AI answers also draw on what the wider web says about you. We find which sources already get cited in your category and plan where your business can appear on them honestly, through listings, partners and genuine coverage.
Nobody controls what an AI tool says. Answers change with the person, the wording, the location and the day. We do not sell guaranteed mentions in ChatGPT or Gemini, and we would be wary of any agency that does.
What we can promise is method: a recorded starting point, specific fixes, and the same questions tested again so you can see what moved.
If your site has indexing or speed problems, we fix those first, because an AI answer cannot cite a page that Google cannot index. Our technical SEO checklist for Saudi websites shows what that involves.
We may add an llms.txt file if it costs little, but it is experimental and we do not present it as a ranking factor.
Four stages, no fixed calendar. The pace depends on the size of your site and how quickly changes can be approved.
We agree a set of real customer questions with you and test them in Arabic and English across the AI tools your customers use. We record who is cited today, including your competitors.
Crawl access, structured data, entity consistency and indexing problems.
Answer-first updates to your most important pages, and new pages for the gaps the baseline found.
The same questions re-tested every month. Google's Performance report in Search Console includes traffic from AI features within Web search, so we read that alongside the question tests.
You receive a short report each month showing which questions mention you, which sites are cited instead, and what changed since the last test.
It works best for businesses with an indexable website and real expertise to show: online stores on Salla or Zid, clinics, real estate firms, schools, hotels, workshops and B2B service companies. We write for several of these sectors already, see our pages on education marketing, hotel and hospitality marketing, real estate marketing and automotive marketing.
It is a poor fit if your site is not yet indexed, or if you need results within days. Start with SEO instead, through our SEO company in Saudi Arabia service.
Want to talk through your own business first?
That is a business decision. GPTBot is used to gather content for training OpenAI's models, while OAI-SearchBot is a separate crawler for ChatGPT search. You can disallow one and allow the other. If you want to appear in ChatGPT search, allow OAI-SearchBot. OpenAI says robots.txt changes can take about 24 hours to take effect.
Not automatically. Clear, indexable pages are easier for any system to use, but each assistant chooses sources in its own way. That is why we test them separately instead of assuming one result carries over.
It is optional and still experimental, and we do not treat it as a ranking factor. If your site is already well structured, adding one is cheap, but nothing we do depends on it.
Access to your website and Search Console (view access is enough for the baseline), a list of the services that bring you the most revenue, and the questions customers ask before they buy.
